Phew, what a start to the week! The Toddler had a wee cold this weekend which has now been followed by a bout of conjunctivitis. Poor little thing is still very jolly but he'll have to miss play school for the next few days. He loves it when we build a fort so I guess we'll be doing lots of building work to keep him entertained! Maybe we'll 'upgrade' from our version (usually just a sheet or two draped over some chairs) to something like the ones below :-)
(And don't forget to enter the Hello Olive
giveaway... Entries close this Wednesday.)
Your poor little toddler - hope he feels better soon! We have just had a very rainy half term holiday and we built a LOT of indoor dens. I love that mural in the last photo, I would love to paint something like that but all the rooms in my house are so full of stuff we'd hardly be able to see any of it!
ReplyDeleteThanks :-) He is actually totally fine except for the red eyes and too much energy from being stuck indoors! x
DeleteSometimes it seems like one illness after another when you have a family with small people! Hope he gets better soon. My boy has just had conjunctivitis too. :(
ReplyDeleteThank you :-) Winter has hardly begun and already everyone's sick... x
DeleteAw, hope he gets better soon! Those forts are amazing, I want one! x
ReplyDeleteThanks Charmaine. He looks much better today and is ball of energy! x
DeleteConjunctivitis is the worst - we always seem to spread it around the house. Hope your boy gets well soon.
ReplyDeleteI thought the first photo was your house before I read on and nearly died from jealousy! Phew... I think old school forts/dens made from chairs and blankets are the best. x
Thanks Gillian. I wish I had a house that looked like that :-) I'm afraid it's not nearly as exciting! x
DeleteThere is nothing better than building a fort on a rainy day! I think we used to use clothes airers and sheets...in the summer though we made a huge fort using the frame of the swing in our garden, that was awesome! Loving that last fort, I would want that to snuggle up in to read!x
ReplyDeleteGosh, what I would give to be able to snuggle up in that fort and read. Or sleep. x
DeleteWe love building forts too - would so love one like these. That first one is really pretty. x
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely one, and it looks relatively simple to make. Although I know we'll probably stick to the 'chairs and sheet' version :-)
DeleteAh, I used to love building forts and those look amazing!
ReplyDeleteHello! Just to let you know that I am sending the Versatile Blogger Award your way! It'll be live on my blog (http://miss-beatrix.blogspot.com) tomorrow, if you would like to accept it. Have a lovely day! Anna :)
